To keep your jewels looking their best, there are a few things you can do and a few things you should avoid.

Wearing

Gold and silver can tarnish so it's best not to wear your jewellery in the shower or while swimming if you can help it. Also be careful with your jewels if you wear them while gardening or exercising.

Cleaning

If your jewels are tarnished or need a quick spruce, you can buy inexpensive cleaning solutions and polishing cloths from your local jeweller. A quick dunk in a silver or gold dip can work wonders for grubby jewels. Just be sure to read the instructions if your piece has stones.

Storage

It's best to store your jewellery in a jewellery box to avoid pieces rubbing together and getting scratched. If you can, it's a good idea to separate different types of metal to reduce tarnishing.
